Breastfeeding means so much more than milk.

Are you pregnant and interested in prenatal breastfeeding education and support? Are you struggling with painful breastfeeding? Going back to work and need a plan for pumping and storing breast milk? Having a difficult time getting baby to latch? Ready to wean from pumping? I can help with these challenges and work with you to help you achieve your goals.

Schedule a Consultation

Melissa is a NURSE MIDwife and Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in the south Bay Area providing home and virtual visits.

In-Home Consultation

I will travel to your home to do an assessment of both mom and baby, and observe a feeding. I will take a pre and post feed weight check to assess how much milk the baby is able to transfer while breastfeeding. We will discuss your current situation and what your goals are. From there, we will formulate a plan to help you achieve those goals. I offer follow-up via a secure messaging system for one week following the appointment.

$325 Initial visit

$275 Follow-up

Prenatal Consultation

Do you know what the first few hours and days of breastfeeding look like? How do you know if you have “enough” milk? I will meet with you during pregnancy and answer any questions you may have, and provide suggestions for how to prepare for a successful breastfeeding journey. I can then be available to answer questions via my secure messaging platform once baby is born.

$250 (Virtual visit)

Virtual Consultation

Phone or video consult. Have questions that don’t require a home visit? Let’s talk! These visits are helpful if you are looking for advice for things like going back to work and determining how much milk to store, when to pump, and how to get the baby to take a bottle from care givers while you are away.
